Sexual Abuse Education
As our mission statement says, the ALC Balm of Gilead exists to bring awareness, encouragement and support to men and women whose lives have been altered by sexual abuse.We are providing this page and the educational materials in order to bring some understanding on subjects that can be difficult to talk about with others.
Healing is not a race, and it does not have an expiration date. We want to encourage you in “your own time” to seek out and talk to a safe person. Whether a pastor, counselor, family member, friend, Balm of Gilead, etc. Acknowledging your past and seeking understanding takes immense courage.Your experiences are valid, your feelings matter.
